Reading the Landscape: 3

A photograph will capture light and shadow. It will not capture the warmth of a Spring day, the sweet fragrance of the flowers, or the pleasant fatigue of a thirty mile bicycle ride.

  1. but it can inspire the viewer to make their own journey whether it be in reality or their mind.

  2. One of my favorite lines: “Where is the sun on the meadow?” Being in a natural space is a calming and exhilarating feeling, being so “urban” I become detached from natural existence, not understanding that the food I eat is entirely dependent on nature. Check out Dan Barber’s “The Third Plate”.

    1. Interesting. Never heard of this book. Will check it out.

  3. True it only shows the colours..not what has caused the colours
