Giuseppe Labbate 1937-2016
The old man who lived next door died last week. Since I didn’t speak much Italian and he didn’t speak much English, we didn’t have much contact. Occasionally he would yell at me for shoveling snow in the wrong place. He also helped maintain a small colony of semi-feral cats who are just as much my neighbors as anybody else. I like to think they are standing vigil for one of their benefactors.

😻😻🐈🐈 I hope they continue to get fed.
The orange cat has at least 2 more food sources I know of. He usually brings the tuxedo cat along.
That makes me happy. Seeing happy cats doing their thing. #CrazyCatLady 😻😻 And most cats are solitary – don’t like ‘friends’ especially if they are semi-feral. My very domesticated cat has chased away every cat that tried to befriend her – except one black cat.
Cats know who their friends are. Sweet story. I’m glad these cats have more friends. I’m sure Mr. Labbate would be pleased.
