Reading the Landscape: 25

Riding my bike through the exurban countryside, I discover a site where they grow artisanal food for artisanal people.

  1. My kind of place 🙂 at least they are making good use of land.

  2. Is this an unusual sight for you? Where I am (also farm country), there is almost no one left who isn’t organic, or free-range, or artisanal, or heritage, or local, or fair trade, or involved in some kind of money-less trading association. It has been years – maybe decades – since I have seen a “Round-up Ready” sign.

    1. It’s just outside of Princeton, not really farm country, more like suburbia interspersed with small scale organic farming.
