New Jersey versus Texas

I turns out that the El Paso white supremacist mass murderer Patrick Crusius’s mother was so concerned about her son’s purchase of an assault rifle that she called the police. But they brushed her off.

“The El Paso shooting suspect’s mother called the Allen Police Department weeks before the shooting because she was concerned about her son owning an “AK”-type firearm, lawyers for the family told ABC News.”

His mother was transferred to a public safety officer who allegedly told her that her son, 21, was legally allowed to purchase the weapon, lawyers said. The mother did not provide her name or her son’s name, and police did not seek any additional information from her before the call concluded, according to the attorneys.

Here in New Jersey a Delaware man drove over 100 miles with a trunk full of guns and ammunition to visit his ex wife, who teaches at an elementary school in Westfield. Considering the very clear connection between domestic violence and mass shootings, the man’s father and brother very wisely called the police. The Westfield police arrested him and confiscated his arsenal.

The father of the Delaware man arrested outside a Westfield school Thursday, who police say had a handgun and more than 100 bullets, said his son may have traveled there to see a former or current girlfriend. He also said another of his sons called police Thursday about the brother.

New Jersey has plenty of racists, white supremacists, anti-immigrant Trump worshipping chuds, domestic abusers and all around violent assholes. But unlike Texas, the gun cult doesn’t have control of the state government and doesn’t write the laws. The difference? 22 lives. Don’t ever let anybody tell you gun control doesn’t work.
