Black Irish

A black family in Midland Texas is held at gunpoint by an army of local police. According to “Redfish” the young man’s crime was running a stop sign.

I’m struck by just how much the behavior of the police in Midland resembles a scene from the underrated 2018 film about the Irish potato famine Black47.

In a society based on the oppression of a racial, ethnic or religious underclass, the local police always seem eager for an excuse to shoot someone.

  1. The USA “made” laws to sanction financial activities with Iran, which meant that China was “disrupted” in their trade with Iran. Despite there being NO “international authority” to enforce USA “laws” against foreign nations, the law is only enforceable by some “threat” of retributions from USA. The bankers and other non-USA authorities go along with USA policy – very similar to the guards at Auschwitz, “following orders” even when those orders are deadly force. Meng Wanzhou, a Chinese national employed at China’s Huawei electronics firm has been taken hostage when NO “physical person” needs to be detained in order to argue the ridiculous non-sense of a nation instituting international justice with nuclear weapons as the “force of law”. The issue can easily be “debated” without abuse of any person. If international rules are open to “debate”, then present the evidence of “harm” being done to USA that forces USA to implement “protective” legal measures. But the measures are only meant as “harassment” against corporations who “do business” with a country like Iran, where USA is not protecting themselves from any threat. Is international harassment accepted by non-USA banking authorities and others as “reasonable grounds” to follow non-binding “suggestions” from USA??
