I have a colorful book called “Autogeddon” with many photos depicting the disaster of automobile pollution. One of the first pictures is from “Cadillac Ranch” by Rene Burri, a Cadillac on edge, with a huge nail through the roof. It was part of a poster I made, saying “Kill the Car, Save the Planet”. Noticing today that Covid-19, like many viruses, often kills its host. But humanity would never kill its host, would it?

Wow. I’ve never seen this. I thought I was ripping off the title from Springsteen.

But Burri’s photo is from 1979. Springsteen’s song is from 1980.
